Athens: July 20 – 23 (3 Nights)
Welcome to Athens! When you arrive, make your way to your hotel to check in. Upon exiting the baggage claim area, your driver will be waiting for you at the Arrivals’ Hall, holding a sign with your name on it.
Athens is known as the birthplace of democracy, and has been continuously inhabited for over 3,000 years. While here, you’ll notice the influence of many different civilizations throughout history on the architecture, food, and culture.
July 20
- Arrive in Athens on Flight AC 898 at 10:30am
- Make your way through customs and connect with your driver who will transfer you to your hotel
- Check in and get settled.
- Nothing is booked for you this evening, enjoy your first day at your leisure.
- Please note: FERRY TICKET DELIVERY: Upon arrival your driver will give you an envelope with all your ferry tickets printed. Please make sure to keep these somewhere safe, as they are hard copies and cannot be re-produced if lost – except for SANTORINI PALACE tickets, which are issued electronically.
July 21
- Your Culinary Backstreets tour begins at 9:30am and was booked by you.
- Speak with the concierge to arrange transport to and from the tour if necessary.
July 22
- This morning you will take a walking tour of Athens that highlights the Mythology of the Ancient Greek Gods. Meet your guide at 10:00am at the entrance to the Temple of Zeus. If you have difficulties connecting, call Alternative Athens at +30 6951518589
- It is about a 30 minute drive, so we suggest having the concierge arrange a taxi for you.

Welcome to Mykonos! On arrival, a transfer will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall (look for a sign reading Trotmam) to take you to Bill & Coo. Located in the centre of the Cyclades island group, Mykonos is one of the most famous Greek islands for its cosmopolitan atmosphere and vivid nightlife!

July 24
- There are no services booked for you today. Enjoy Mykonos at your leisure. Did you know that the villages across this the island of Mykonos are a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways, which were used as a way to confuse pirates. You may choose to wander down them and lose yourself amongst the whitewashed buildings.
- Kastros restaurant reservation at 7:30pm. Happy birthday Mike!
- Kastro’s is a delicious restaurant with Greek and Mediterranean influences serving “the best cocktails since 1976.”
July 25
- You have the option of spending the morning at Kalua Beach-Bar and Restaurant, where you can rent sun-beds and spend the day lounging and swimming in the crystal waters. Kalua is only a five minute walk from Scorpius, where you’ll have a late lunch (or early dinner, depending on how you’re feeling). Please let us know in advance if you would like to rent sun-beds.

Welcome to Paros! Located in the heart of the Cyclades Islands, there are over 120kms of coastline and 10,000 inhabitants. Beautiful beaches, medieval villages, wineries, harbours and easy access to neighbouring islands, they say Paros is like Mykonos was 20 years ago. There are two large towns, the Port town of Parikia and the more cosmopolitan and lively town of Naoussa in the north. Both are lovely and offer something for everyone. There is also the magical inland village of Lefkas in the hills and numerous beachside villages dotted around the island.

Santorini: July 30 – August 2 (3 Nights)
Welcome to Santorini! Once one island, a volcanic eruption in the 15 century caused it to split and become two. Legend has it that this was the location of the Lost City of Atlantis, and after the eruption it plunged into the sea. Today, Santorini consists of two inhabited islands with many colourful beaches to explore.

- Before leaving for your cruise, please make sure you have packed and left your luggage in reception, so it can be transferred to your new hotel while you are on the water today. Your luggage will be collected from the reception area of the hotel around 10am and transferred to Andronis Arcadia.
- Your cruise begins at 10am and lasts all day, you will be picked up at the lobby at 9:30am and transferred to the boat launch.

CURRENCY
Greece is a Member-State of the European Union and uses its uniform currency – the Euro. Greece, as is the case with the other Member-States of the E.U. uses eight coins as follows: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents or lepta in Greek and 1 and 2 Euros. The banknotes are issued in the following denominations: 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 Euros. Currency exchange rates are clearly displayed in every bank that accepts currency exchange, while credit card holders may acquire money from the ATMs of the collaborating banks. Greek banks are open for the public from 8:00 to 14:30 Mondays to Thursdays and from 8:00 to 13:30 on Fridays. They are closed on Public Holidays. Euros can also be exchanged for notes of other foreign currencies at exchange offices that are situated at the airport and certain main ports, in the larger cities, as well as at many tourist destinations. A passport is required when exchanging currencies.

Electric power voltage in Greece is 230 V / 50 Hz and the plugs are F type. To avoid the danger of short circuit, make sure to have in your suitcase the necessary transformers / adaptors for your electronic devices.
